The Red Roosters — Year 2 Program Ages 3½ to 4½
If the Blue Bird year is about stepping into your own, the Red Rooster year is where that journey truly begins.
This is the year children start to find their voice — literally and figuratively. Language is at the heart of our Year 2 program. Through storytelling, conversation, songs, and play, children build vocabulary, develop phonemic awareness, and learn the art of expressing themselves with growing confidence and clarity.
But it goes beyond words. Red Roosters are learning how to navigate the world around them — how to work through a disagreement with a friend, how to take on responsibility within their group, and how to approach a challenge without giving up. These are the skills that matter just as much as any academic milestone, and we take them just as seriously.
In our classroom, children are not just participants — they are partners. Alongside their teachers, Red Roosters help shape their own learning experience, taking ownership of their days in ways that build real, lasting independence.
By the time they spread their wings into the Blue Bird year, they are ready — curious, capable, and confident in who they are becoming.
